Black Box Network Services Belgium was set up in 1986 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Black Box Corporation based in Pittsburgh, USA. The Black Box Belgian office is situated in Zaventem (near Brussels).


Worldwide revenues exceed $535 million, up to 3% from last year and the team of nearly 5,000 employees serves more than 152,000 clients in 141 countries throughout the world. In 1990, the Black Box catalogue had just 145 pages containing 500 products.

Now, the latest Black Box catalogue has over 700 pages featuring more than 10,000 networking & datacommunication solutions!

Black Box Corporation

Black Box Corporation is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and was co-founded by Gene Yost and Dick Raub in 1977. The company began selling connectivity devices - the "little black boxes" - that customers needed to connect their primary communications products. The company was originally called Expandor, Inc., but it soon changed to Black Box because customers came to know the company by its catalogue name.

When the first Black Box Catalogue rolled off the presses in early 1977, it had just 6 pages, containing 9 products and it generated $170,000 in sales. Today the Black Box Catalogue-an enormous 700+ page book-features more than 10,000 products and has international versions published in 8 languages.

Headquartered in scenic Lawrence, Pennsylvania, 20 miles south of Pittsburgh, Black Box is now a leading worldwide distributor of computer communications equipment and technical support services with representatives in more than 100 countries.

The company employees around 4000 employees around the world in Europe, South America and the Far East.

On Oct. 18th, 2007, Black Box's Board of Directors appointed Terry Blakemore as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Blakemore, a Senior Vice President of the Company served in the capacity of Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since May 2007.

Mr. Blakemore has had an extensive and very successful 25-year career in the voice and data telecommunications industry. Prior to serving as Senior Vice President of the Company, Mr. Blakemore served as Manager of Business Development and, prior thereto, as General Manager of the Company's Voice Services business unit.
